Job Summary:
Psychiatric Unit Registered Nurse (RN) This position is located within a healthcare facility specializing in mental health services. The role involves providing direct patient care, supporting medication management, and assisting with patient safety protocols within a psychiatric inpatient setting. The RN will be expected to work scheduled evening shifts, including holidays and alternating weekends, with the possibility of floating to a related inpatient addiction rehabilitation unit.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts, 1500-2330, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state nursing license, 1 year of relevant experience, current CPR certification, BSN preferred but not required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing, proficiency in de-escalation techniques, knowledge of psychiatric medications, BLS certification, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Additional Information: Staff will be trained to assume charge nurse responsibilities. The hospital enforces a navy blue scrubs uniform policy for RNs. Flexibility to float to a similar inpatient addiction rehab unit may be required. Schedule includes rotations for holidays and alternating weekends unless otherwise specified or approved.
