Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Eureka, California. This position involves providing care for high-risk obstetric patients, including circulating on cesarean sections and supporting postpartum and neonatal care. The role offers a dynamic environment caring for a culturally diverse population, with responsibilities that encompass assisting with high-risk deliveries, postpartum assessments, and neonatal interventions.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid California state license, compact license accepted, at least 1 year of experience in labor and delivery, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetrics, NICU or neonatal care experience, familiarity with Epic charting system, previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Float: Float rotation may be required to meet facility needs within scope of practice
• Additional Information: Candidates must be flexible to work in a high-acuity obstetric setting, assist with labor and delivery procedures, postpartum care, neonatal assessments, and supporting high-risk obstetric patients. Orientation will include 40 hours. Candidates should be prepared to work three out of five major holidays. References covering the past year are required. Prior experience working at a similar facility is preferred.
