Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room (First Assistant) located in Crescent City, California. This role involves functioning as a perioperative team member within the surgical recovery unit, providing advanced assistance during various surgical procedures. The candidate will collaborate closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and safety during operative interventions.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shifts with 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). A minimum of 5 years of experience in surgical settings is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, trauma level I and II experience, community hospital experience, and travel experience.
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Experience with procedures such as abdominal hysterectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, exploratory laparotomy, inguinal hernia repair, closed and open reduction of fractures, and various robotic surgeries including GI, gynecologic, and thoracic surgeries.
- Additional Information: Candidate must have experience with a variety of surgical instruments and equipment including Da Vinci Robotics systems, laparoscopic procedures, and endoscopic ENT procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment supporting Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics.
