Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) available in Templeton. This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within a 122-bed acute care facility. The role requires collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and adherence to nursing standards. The position is represented by CNA.

Job Details:

• Shift: Rotating shift schedule, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of a school of nursing; one year recent acute care RN experience in an intensive care unit; current RN license in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor within 6 months of hire or transfer
• Preferred Qualifications: EPIC experience, Stepdown and/or Emergency Room experience
• Essential Functions:
  • Meets patients' personal needs and ensures a noise-free environment
  • Works collaboratively with co-workers and maintains patient, co-worker, and hospital privacy
  • Charts clearly, concisely, and legibly; delivers effective shift reports
  • Completes necessary quality monitors and follows infection control guidelines
  • Performs comprehensive history and physical assessments for all age groups, reports abnormal data, and assists with discharge planning
  • Recognizes emergency signs and symptoms, demonstrates proficiency in Code Blue and other emergencies
  • Administers medications according to hospital policies, ensuring the six rights of medication administration
  • Contributes to patient education and staff development
  • Attends staff meetings, completes required training and competencies, and adapts to changing environments
  • Ensures all charge items are correctly documented and charged, utilizes resources appropriately, and minimizes incidental overtime
