Description
Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Baltimore, Maryland. This position involves providing bedside care to adult patients undergoing surgical procedures within a level medical surgical unit. The role includes both pre- and post-operative patient care, managing a diverse patient population including orthopedic, spine, trauma, and neuro-surgical cases, and working across multiple levels of care in an inpatient acute and tele unit.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026.
- Required Qualifications: RN license; 2 years current nursing experience; dysrhythmia management; BLS certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: EPIC electronic health record experience; 1-2 previous travel assignments.
- Nurse/Patient Ratio: 1:4-5 during days, 1:5-6 during nights.
- Orientations: Two orientations are scheduled on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month.
- Additional Information: The position requires experience working with patients who have undergone surgery, including orthopedic, orthospine, trauma, and neuro-surgery. Candidates with previous employment within any Johns Hopkins Health System facility must have been gone for at least one full year prior to applying as a traveler.
