Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a 23-bed unit with a focus on telemetry, neuro, and trauma patients. The position requires a minimum of two years of hospital experience and an active licensed registered nurse credential at the time of submission.

Job Details:

• Location: Portsmouth, NH
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active licensed registered nurse (RN) license; recent hospital experience of at least 2 years in a similar setting, including telemetry, neuro, or trauma experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Neuro experience, trauma experience, ability to perform procedures such as chest tubes and EEGs, team-oriented personality
• Additional Information:
  • Unit information: 23 beds with 9 staff members, including RNs and aides
  • Typical equipment: bedside monitors, end tidal oxygen monitoring, high flow, chronic vents, subdural drains
  • EMR System: Meditech
  • Staffing details: daytime staff includes 6-7 RNs and 2 aides, night staff similar in composition
  • Dress code: Professional scrubs, no specific color requirement
  • Weekend and on-call schedule: Every other weekend, no on-call requirement
