Description
Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nurse position is located in Twin Falls, Idaho. This role involves providing care for critically ill patients in a high-acuity environment, including ICU and PCU patient populations. The position requires expertise in ventilator management, titration of IV drips, and working with advanced monitoring systems. The nurse will collaborate closely with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive critical care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekend shifts are required approximately every other week, with occasional holiday assignments as needed.
- Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications; at least 2 years of recent ICU experience; experience with EPIC electronic health record; previous travel experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: At least 2 years of ICU experience preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required between ICU and PCU patients within the unit.
- Additional Information: The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1-2 in ICU and 1:3 in PCU. Nurses are expected to read and interpret telemetry strips and manage ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and other respiratory equipment. The team includes a hospitalist or intensivist in-house 24/7, with accessible eICU support during night shifts. The focus is on teamwork, and there is an active, engaging culture in the department that promotes staff interaction and outdoor activities in the area.
