Job Summary:
The surgical technician specializing in operating room procedures is based in Templeton. This position involves assisting the surgical team in preparing and maintaining sterile fields for various surgical procedures, including orthopedic, gynecologic, and general surgeries. The role requires technical skills in aseptic technique and instrument handling to support patient safety and efficient operating room functions.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026
• Required Qualifications: Education and Work Experience High School Education/GED or equivalent; Six months of operating room experience or completed scrub technician course; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Facility-specific certifications may include additional BLS requirements
• Preferred Qualifications: Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent; Surgery technician certification; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per organization policy
• Essential Functions: Prepare surgical cases by checking supplies and equipment; assemble and set up sterile fields; monitor inventory for assigned specialties; perform housekeeping duties; transport patients; complete instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with the registered nurse; label solutions; maintain aseptic techniques; perform clerical duties as needed
• Organizational Requirements: All associates must receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. The organization participates in E-Verify
• Additional Information: Must have 2 years of experience with orthopedic, total, gynecologic, and general surgeries. Must be available to start on 08/17/2026.
