Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) in Duluth, Minnesota. This position involves providing critical emergency care in a Level 2 Trauma, Stroke, and STEMI center with a high volume of approximately 75 patients daily. The role requires adaptability to variable shift schedules and the ability to manage a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Duluth, Minnesota
  • Shift Schedule: Rotating, 12-hour days/nights with variable hours; 0700-1930 and 1900-0730.
  • Start Date: 08/17/2026
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Guaranteed Hours per Week: 36 hours
  • Required Qualifications: Minnesota RN licensure; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); at least 2 years of ER experience, including at least 1 travel assignment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Emergency Department experience with both adult and pediatric patients; trauma center experience.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • On Call/Call Back Requirements: Call back minimum of 2 hours; on call and call back may be required in response to low census.
  • Additional Information:
    • Every other weekend and holiday shifts required; may include Labor Day.
    • Scrub color: royal blue; no sweatshirts or hoodies.
    • During flu season, unvaccinated travelers are required to wear masks at all times, in accordance with facility policies.
    • The contract includes 36 hours of low census unbillable hours.
