Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room Certified Surgical Technologist (Certified Operating Room Tech) in Portland, Maine. This position involves providing specialized surgical assistance within an operating room environment, focusing on gynecology and genitourinary procedures at a Level One Trauma Center. The role requires expert knowledge of robotics, trauma cases, and a wide range of surgical procedures, with an emphasis on delivering exceptional patient care in a high-stress, fast-paced setting.

Job Details:

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), a minimum of 3 years of Level 1 trauma experience, proficiency in robotics (Da Vinci Xi), and experience with procedures including PCNLs, nephrectomy, ureteral reimplants, hysterectomies, cystectomies, colpocleisis, hysteroscopies, and ureteroscopies. The candidate must be comfortable with a patient population spanning from pediatrics to geriatrics.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in general, genitourinary, gynecology, orthopedics (trauma and joints), neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, dental, and endovascular procedures.

Locations and Responsibilities: Providing support in a busy operating room setting with responsibilities including assisting with various complex surgical procedures, managing surgical equipment such as Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and robotic systems, and ensuring adherence to all safety and procedural protocols.
