Description
Job Summary:
The ICU Cardiovascular (Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular) registered nurse position is based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The role involves providing specialized care in a high-acuity 8-bed unit that manages complex adult cardiac patients. The nurse will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes within a safe and comfortable environment.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift
- Schedule: 36 hours per week, accepting 36 or 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Associated degree in nursing; current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), American Heart Association Advanced Heart Attack (AHA), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; registered nurse license in the state of Alabama or a compact license; at least 2 years of experience, or 18 months of experience working at the highest level of professional license with 1 year of recent experience in the specialty.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if working in a pediatric unit
- Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed. The position is hospital-based with no remote work option. Parking is available.
