Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Ottumwa, Iowa. This position involves providing specialized care in a busy emergency department primarily serving adult and geriatric patients. The role offers flexible shift options and guarantees of either 36 or 48 hours per week, accommodating various scheduling needs.

Job Details:

• Include Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (AHA), ACLS, and TNCC certifications; Iowa background check clearance (criminal and child abuse checks); mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult); recent titers from the last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB); 1-2 years of experience in an acute care facility.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in travel nursing or similar size facility; strong personality fit.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The position requires full background check clearance prior to start. The hospital is a regional health center with 217 licensed beds offering an array of services, including Emergency Department, Critical Care, Med/Surg, and more. The unit typically manages a patient ratio of 1:6 with around 40 visits a day.
