Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This position involves providing specialized surgical nursing support within a busy surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in orthopedic and spine surgical procedures, with advanced skills in neurosurgical and general/robotic surgeries preferred. The role offers an opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, including a unique robotic digital microscope used only in this region.

Job Details:

Location: 2333 McCallie Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37404
Shift: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
Start Date: 08/17/2026
Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) national certification, current Tennessee nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS), at least 1 year of relevant experience in the operating room
Type of Procedures: Total joints, spine fusions, neurosurgical procedures including craniotomies, robotic procedures, general surgeries, urology, cardiovascular procedures including open heart surgeries
Equipment and Technology: Electrosurgical units, Neptune suction, patient positioning devices, Synaptive Medical Modus V robotic digital microscope (the only system in Tennessee)
Schedule: Days shift (7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.) with minimum of 40 hours/week
Certifications: BLS required; Tennessee nursing license required
Additional Information: Candidates should demonstrate critical thinking and excellent customer service skills. Prior experience circulating in orthopedic and spine surgical procedures is necessary; neurosurgical and robotic experience is preferred.
