Description
Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse Boulder, CO. This in-house charge RN position involves night shifts during the week (Monday through Wednesday nights from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM). The role focuses on supporting a unit with approximately 25-30 cases per day, primarily involving orthopedic, neuro, general, gynecology, ENT, urology, and robotic procedures. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and is proficient with acute care procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Shift Schedule: Three-night in-house charge shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday through Tuesday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS and BLS certifications; at least 2 years of operating room experience; licensed to practice in the state.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with DaVinci robotics; scrubbing experience (preferred, not required).
- Experience or Skills: At least 2 years OR experience; comfortable with first-time travelers who meet the experience requirement.
- Certification and Licensing: BSN preferred; license to submit required.
- Orientation: Dependent on experience, lasting 3 days up to 2 weeks, with specific orientation to each specialty area.
- Additional Information: Charge nurses always take assignments, and EMR system is Epic, with available Epic training during onboarding. Staffing is based on a weekly rotation with on-call and holiday coverage as needed.
