Job Summary:
Nashville, Tennessee This facility is seeking a Certified First Surgical Assistant to support Labor and Delivery services within their Womens and Childrens department. The role involves providing advanced surgical assistance, supporting clinical procedures, and ensuring quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certified First Surgical Assistant certification, 2 years Labor and Delivery experience, AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced) or Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (CEFM), ACLS, BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Tennessee location, minimum 0 years of experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with laboring patients, care of the newborn immediately after delivery, circulating and recovering cesarean-section patients, performing vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, dilation and curettage (D&C), cerclage, epidural anesthesia, tub labor
- Additional Information: Please review facility-specific policies and guidelines prior to interview. Candidates should be familiar with unit-specific procedures and foster a collaborative approach to patient care.
