Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse position is located at a small stepdown unit within a healthcare organization. This role involves providing specialized critical care to patients with conditions such as sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis, respiratory distress, and atrial fibrillation. The position may require floating to medical-surgical units when ICU census is low, and candidates with strong med-surg, emergency department, or critical care experience are preferred.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, at least 3 years of experience as a registered nurse, experience with critical care or med-surg and emergency department settings, proficiency with Oracle electronic medical record system, valid certifications on file, and a full Nursys report
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in stepdown or progressive care units, orientation to small ICU environments, and experience managing patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, DKA, respiratory distress, and atrial fibrillation
• Additional Information: ICU nurses may be floated to medical-surgical units when ICU census is low. This position is open to first-time travelers with ideal experience. Submission must include an application/resume with a distinguished work history, skills checklist relevant to the unit, certifications on file, and a complete Nursys report.
