Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for a daytime shift position located in Winchester, Virginia. The RN will be responsible for providing post-operative care in a busy, 16-bed unit, supporting a variety of patient needs including Geriatrics and procedural cases. The position requires a team-oriented RN with a minimum of 2 years of PACU experience.
Job Details:
- Location: Winchester, Virginia
- Shift: Days, 12 hours shifts from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 08/24/2026
- Required Qualifications: Must have 2 or more years of Pre-Operative (Pre-Op), Post-Operative (Post-Op), and PACU RN experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system proficiency. Valid Virginia State License or Compact license, and certifications including ACLS, BLS, and PALS (American Heart Association only).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with titrate drips and procedures such as TAVR.
- Schedule: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., weekly guarantee of 36 hours.
- Travel: Virginia
- Unit Information: 16 beds; patient ratios of 2:1; no specialized equipment listed.
- Float Requirements: Float to sister units as needed for additional support on the busy on-campus surgery center.
- Additional Information: The role involves assisting with a diverse patient population, including Geriatric patients, with a focus on procedural and cardiac cases. Attire required includes navy scrubs per hospital dress code policy.
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs.
