Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Boston, Massachusetts. This role involves providing perioperative care in a Level 1 trauma center, supporting a high-volume surgical unit. The position requires flexibility for rotating shifts, including evenings, with a focus on trauma, neuro, orthopedics, and cardiac cases.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts averaging 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification; valid license to practice; 2 years of experience in an acute care setting; experience in operating room or perioperative nursing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Level 1 trauma center; neuro, ortho, and trauma case experience; experience with EPIC electronic medical records.
- Additional Information: Be prepared to work evenings (e.g., 9A-7P, 9A-9P, 11A-9P, 11A-11P). The role includes call responsibilities equivalent to permanent staff, with responses required within 45 minutes. Scrubbing is not required but considered a bonus. Self-scheduling is permitted within reason, with block scheduling not guaranteed.
