Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Boston, Massachusetts. This role involves providing perioperative patient care within a Level 1 trauma center, supporting neuro, ortho, and trauma surgeries. The position requires working days with 8-hour shifts and a focus on teamwork and clinical excellence.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shifts, 8 hours, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; Minimum 2 years of recent OR nursing experience in a Level 1 trauma center; Valid license to submit; Willing to wait for license approval; Experience with ERIC electronic medical record system
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience scrubbing or circulating neuro, ortho, and trauma cases; Weekend rotation and call required (1 shift every 4 weeks); Self-scheduling within reason; No float requirement; Charge nurse on all shifts; Call response time of 45 minutes
- Additional Information: No float rotation expected. Shifts may include weekends and call. Experience with trauma, ortho, and neuro surgeries highly preferred. The role entails collaborative perioperative duties in an acute care setting.
