Job Summary:
The facility is seeking a Stepdown/Tele nurses for night shifts in Henderson, Kentucky. This position involves providing care to stepdown and progressive care unit patients, including those with conditions such as sepsis, CHF, COPD, DKA, cirrhosis, and dementia. The role requires strong assessment and critical thinking skills to manage complex patient populations and infusion therapies.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current active compact license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). At least 2 years of RN experience, including a solid year in stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and recent EPIC electronic charting experience. No local candidates within a 40-mile radius are accepted.
• Preferred Qualifications: PIV insertion, stable home ventilators, chest tube/indwelling drain management, continuous BiPap, drain management, blood product administration, and other advanced skills.
• Additional Information: Travelers are required to pass tele interpretation tests. Cross-campus float to nearby facilities may be required with 2 hours' notice. The unit has a seasoned nursing staff with excellent retention, and teamwork is emphasized. Navy blue scrubs are required, with no competing health system or agency logos. The role may involve precepting students and new hires.
