Description
Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse in Richmond, Virginia. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a Cardiac Telemetry Unit, with responsibilities including EKG monitoring, patient assessment, and responding to cardiac alerts. The role requires collaboration within a fast-paced environment to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS and ACLS certifications, current nursing license, cardiology or telemetry experience, and a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ability to prioritize care, problem solve, and effectively communicate with physicians.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The unit is a Cardiac Telemetry Unit with 25 beds, staffed by charge RNs, RNs, techs, and a unit secretary. Candidates should have strong telemetry experience and EKG reading skills. The schedule includes every third Friday and Saturday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with additional weekend coverage required during holidays such as Halloween, Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas night.
