Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Hopewell, Virginia. This position involves providing patient care on a busy ER unit with a focus on adult and pediatric care. The role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work efficiently within a collaborative team environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; 1 year of ER experience; Virginia state nursing license or eligibility; ability to work nights.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma experience, TNCC certification, Meditech electronic medical record experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to a Fast Service Emergency Department (FSED) approximately 15 minutes away.
- Additional Information: Unit handles approximately 22 beds with a rapid patient turnover; staff includes registered nurses, a critical care nurse, secretary, and tech/medic. Typical procedures performed include IV insertions, cardiac protocols, central line placements, and stroke or sepsis protocols. The unit emphasizes a team-oriented, professional, and patient-centered approach with an energetic, respectful attitude and excellent attendance.
