Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse located in Reston, Virginia. This position involves providing specialized care for newborns requiring intensive medical attention. The role requires a compassionate and flexible healthcare professional capable of functioning effectively within a family-centered environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Reston, VA
- Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 16
- Staff per Shift: 5 with a charge nurse
- Patient Ratios: 1:2
- Typical procedures performed: Intubation, Umbilical Line Placement, PICC placement, Lumbar Punctures, X-rays
- EMR System: CPN & Meditech
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Certifications: BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Education: Relevant nursing degree with active licensure
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a neonatal intensive care environment
- Location: Virginia
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with family-centered patient care
- Flexibility to float to Labor & Delivery (WCS) units, including Post-partum and Labor & Delivery as a baby nurse
- Additional Information:
- Full-time position requiring five weekend shifts every four weeks.
- Dress code: Scrubs in purple.
- Open to submittals for consideration.
