Job Summary:
The Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) position is located in the surgical department. This role involves the safe and sterile setup and handling of all surgical instrumentation during scheduled and emergency surgical cases. The technician is responsible for gathering necessary instrumentation and supplies as noted on surgeons' pick sheets, ensuring procedures are conducted efficiently and in accordance with safety standards. The position requires effective communication with department personnel and supporting the overall operation of the surgical team.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician program, current Operating Room Technology (ORT) certification, at least 2 years of current Operating Room experience, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, ability to communicate effectively with department personnel, hospital staff, medical staff, and sales and repair representatives.

• Float: Float rotation may be required.
