Job Summary:
The ORT (Operating Room Technician) in the Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician specialty is based at the organizations healthcare facility. This role involves ensuring the safe and sterile setup of all surgical instrumentation during scheduled and emergency procedures. The technician will support surgical teams by preparing instrumentation and supplies, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to hospital protocols.

Job Details:

• Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program, current Operating Room Technician (ORT) certification, and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Valid OR experience is essential.
• Schedule: Days shift; 10 hours per shift; minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Effective communication skills with department personnel, hospital staff, medical staff, and sales and repair representatives.
• Responsibilities: Responsible for sterile set up and handling of surgical instrumentation, gathering necessary supplies according to surgeons pick sheets, and supporting the surgical team throughout procedures.
• Additional Information: Ability to accept pressure assignments, perform clerical duties, and support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
