Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse located in Dallas, TX. This role involves providing care in a high-risk obstetrical unit specializing in labor and delivery services. The position requires delivering comprehensive high-acuity patient care, managing c/sections, and ensuring patient safety during complex obstetrical cases.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, at least 2 years of high-risk labor and delivery experience, certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) fetal monitoring certificate, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with circulating in c-sections, recovering high-acuity patients, and high-risk obstetric bedside training.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to antepartum unit within the women's health department.
- Additional Information: The unit is a high-risk obstetric environment with a staffing ratio of approximately 2:1 or 3:1, utilizing GE fetal monitors and Meditech/CPNS documentation systems. The unit performs vaginal deliveries, c-sections, D&Cs, and post-delivery recovery care.
