Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking an Infection Control Specialist in Detroit, Michigan. This position involves developing, educating, and maintaining the infection prevention and hospital epidemiology programs. The role requires surveillance and application of epidemiological principles to promote high-quality, cost-effective healthcare and prevent healthcare-associated infections.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree or higher in healthcare or related field; one year of experience in infection prevention or control; Michigan state license or certification if applicable.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with epidemiological surveillance and quality improvement initiatives; relevant certifications in infection control.
• Additional Information: Under the functional guidance of the Epidemiology Manager, the candidate will participate in the development, education, and maintenance of the Infection Prevention and Hospital Epidemiology programs. Responsibilities include surveillance utilizing epidemiological principles, infection prevention and control, and quality improvement to ensure high-quality healthcare and the prevention of healthcare-associated infections.
