Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a healthcare facility in Portland, Maine. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, high acuity unit with a focus on acute care patients. The role requires clinical expertise in telemetry and medication administration, supporting patient recovery and safety.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/24/2026
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, at least 2 years of recent acute care experience in a high acuity environment, including telemetry.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-acuity patients, particularly in cardiac or telemetric units.
- Float: Float rotation may be required if needed.
- Additional Information: This unit has 44 beds with some overflow, including an embedded intermediate care unit (IMC) with 6 beds. The team manages complex patients with diverse needs such as IV therapy, PCA, epidurals, trauma, burns, tube feeds, central lines, PICCs, and more. The EMR system used is EPIC. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, team player, flexible, adaptable, and accountable. Scrub color can be any; no unacceptable attire such as open-toe shoes, logo clothing, or excessive accessories is permitted.
