Job Summary:
A Nursing position in the Medical Surgical Specialty across a facility in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This role involves providing competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting, utilizing the nursing process to ensure quality patient outcomes. The nurse will coordinate and deliver direct patient care with accountability to the Nurse Manager or Director, with responsibilities including patient assessment, care planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree (ADN or ASN) from an accredited school of Nursing; one (1) year of nursing experience; licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC).
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Additional Information: This role emphasizes patient assessment, care prioritization, discharge planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, cultural competence, complex problem-solving, and safety evaluation. The incumbent will perform bedside point of care testing as needed and participate in clinical and operational quality improvement activities.
