Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in Plano, Texas. This role involves providing high-quality care to obstetric patients in a Level IV maternity center. The position requires experience in high-risk obstetrics and the ability to handle a busy, dynamic unit.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Preferred Qualifications: Certified in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) and scrub training.
- Unit Information: Labor and Delivery unit has 21 beds, 4 recovery rooms, 3 operating room suites, and 4-bed obstetric emergency department. Staff includes 80 team members with a mix of charge nurses, registered nurses, OB technicians, secretaries, and PCTs.
- Responsibilities: Assist with labor, delivery, and recovery; circulate in operating rooms; care for high-risk antepartum patients; triage and assess pregnant patients at all stages of pregnancy.
- Shift Requirements: Candidates must be available for two weekends per month; flexible scheduling based on unit needs.
- Additional Information: The facility is a Level IV maternity center equipped with modern technology including GE fetal monitors and other advanced equipment. The staffing model aligns with AWHONN standards.
