Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Riverside, California. This position involves providing comprehensive care to obstetric patients in a busy Labor and Delivery department. The role requires maintaining patient safety and comfort while managing labor, monitoring fetal well-being, and performing postpartum care. The assignment offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on team collaboration and patient-centered care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) are required and must be included in the submission packet. Candidates should have a minimum of 0 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, with some relevant skills preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AWHONN Fetal Monitoring and Couplet Care, over 2 years in Labor and Delivery, transition nurse or baby catching experience.
• Unit Information: Labor beds 11, with additional evaluation and OR beds, staff of 79 including charge nurses and OB technicians.
• Typical Procedures: Non-stress tests (NST), cervical exams, managing labor, titrating medications, facilitating McRoberts maneuver.
• Personality Fit: Organized, adaptable, capable of managing a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN EFM.
• Floating Area(s): postpartum and couplets care.
• Dress Code: Hospital infant security scrubs and hospital-issued scrubs.
• Additional Information: Unit operates on a combination of scheduled shifts and on-call coverage as needed. The assignment duration is currently six weeks with an option to extend, contingent upon credentialing.
