Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Renton, Washington. This position involves providing high-quality, culturally competent care to a diverse patient population in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ER team manages a wide array of critical cases, requiring skilled and adaptable healthcare professionals to support patient needs effectively.
Job Details:
- Location: Renton, WA
- Start Date: 11/09/2026
- Duration: 11 weeks
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid licenses to practice as an ER nurse, with a minimum of 2 years of ER experience, including 1+ year in a trauma center. Must have at least 2 years of medical-surgical experience and be proficient in providing care to a highly diverse patient population. Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and ENPC, as well as TNCC. Previous travel experience is mandatory.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic medical records (EMR), familiarity with RT equipment such as vents and BiPaps, and experience managing a high volume of critical patients.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ER experience, including trauma care, and prior travel experience.
- Responsibilities: Managing an ER department with a 55-bed capacity plus swing beds, providing trauma and emergency care, utilizing Epic EMR, performing required procedures like ECGs and ABGs, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. Additional tasks include managing ED holds, triage (post orientation), and transporting critical patients.
- Unit Specifics: Separate triage area with orientation, dedicated psych/seclusion rooms, in-house security, monitor tech support, and a variety of trauma and critical care cases such as STEMI, stroke, DKA, sepsis, and behavioral health issues.
- Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs for nursing staff
- Additional Notes: Orientation includes onboarding with ED leadership and bedside training. The unit operates heavy evening and overnight shifts, serving over 600,000 patients.
