Description
Job Summary:
Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) - 12-hour days at a skilled nursing facility located in Berlin, Wisconsin. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to long-term and rehabilitation patients in a 20-bed long-term care unit and a 17-bed rehab unit. The role offers a 12-week contract with guaranteed hours and involves working every other weekend and holiday as needed.
Job Details:
- Location: Berlin, WI
- Start Date: 08/31/2026
- Shift Schedule: 12-hour days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Certifications: Wisconsin RN license, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Education: Associates Degree or Certificate required
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2+ years of RN experience, long-term care experience highly preferred, acute care experience acceptable in lieu of LTC if experienced, strong charting skills (Epic preferred), Pyxis experience highly preferred, and recent LTC experience required (post-acute & LTC).
- Preferred Qualifications: Wound Care experience, ability to follow physician orders, PIV insertion, and blood draws.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts; orientation includes 1 day onboarding and 4 days with a preceptor.
- Float: Ability to float to Peabody Manor (40 miles), providing care for rehab and long-term care patients.
- Shift Notes: Missed shifts must be made up within 2 weeks of absence.
- Unit Description: The facility has a 20-bed long-term care unit and a 17-bed rehab unit. RN patient ratios range from 1:17 to 1:20, with occasional staffing variations.
- Uniform: Any color for nurses
- Interview Days: Monday through Friday, through MSP interview process
- Additional Info: The orientation occurs over 5 days and includes unbillable GSA hours during the orientation week.
