Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care, performing assessments, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans. The RN supervises ancillary staff and participates actively in patient education and discharge planning to ensure optimal outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only); minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience; minimum one (1) year of ICU experience is highly desired; located in Rochelle Park, New Jersey.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a progressive care or ICU setting is preferred.
• Additional Information: Performs a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop an individualized plan of care. Responsible for accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses. Initiates discharge planning from the day of admission and provides patient teaching in anticipation of discharge. Communicates changes in patient status to support continuity of care and patient safety. Delegates appropriately and supervises ancillary nursing personnel. Contributes to a positive team environment and participates in unit activities. Identifies opportunities for professional growth through ongoing education and self-study. Coordinates with the healthcare team to ensure adequate supplies, equipment, and clinical training as needed. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities following orientation.
