Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) in Castro Valley, California. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care to diverse patient populations in a busy Trauma Level II facility. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and adherence to hospital protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course); at least 3 years of ER experience, 4 years of patient ratio experience, and proficiency with Epic charting system.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience, trauma level II experience, and prior experience with transport teams.
  • Special Procedures/Unit Details: TNCC certification required within 90 days of start date; must be experienced with managing a wide range of emergency conditions including trauma, stroke, cardiac issues, pediatric emergencies, and respiratory distress.
  • Additional Information: The role involves caring for all age groups, managing complex emergency cases, utilizing lift equipment, and adhering to infection control and safety protocols. Candidates must meet travel compliance, provide recent licensure documentation, and have references within the last year.
