Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner - Middlebury, Vermont. This assignment is for a seasoned healthcare professional to provide high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a comprehensive experience with a focus on patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
Job Details:
- Position: Emergency Room Nurse
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 08/31/2026
- Travel Required: Yes
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Required Qualifications: Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurses Association Pediatric Course (ENPC), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); Education: verified nursing qualifications; Experience: a minimum of 2 years of in-unit emergency experience; previous travel experience (at least one travel assignment); EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience from within the past 2 years; Location: Vermont, United States; No experience requirement listed otherwise.
- Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience is highly preferred.
- Additional Information:
- This is a 16-26 week assignment with tiered rates based on mileage (measured by direct line).
- Travel distance: 101 miles or more.
- Schedule includes working every other weekend and flexibility around holiday coverage, with a requirement to work 2 out of 4 holidaysThanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day.
- Monday to Sunday schedule, with bi-weekly orientation on Mondays.
- All employment gaps over 90 days should be explained.
- Complete employment history, including bed count, electronic medical record, and facility type, is required for submission.
- Reliable transportation is essential, and vehicles should be equipped for winter conditions from November through April.
