Job Summary:
The post-partum nurse position located in Honolulu, Hawaii, involves providing specialized care on the postpartum floor. This role requires delivering maternal and newborn care, supporting post-operative bladder training, and assisting with maternal-newborn teaching. The position is designed for experienced professionals committed to high-quality patient support in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the state where care is provided
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
  • Demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring
  • Demonstrated IV skills and ability to perform lab draws
  • Knowledge of high-risk medication administration (Magnesium, Oxytocin, Insulin)
  • Ability to perform urine point of care testing
  • Knowledge of capillary blood glucose testing
  • Familiarity with IStat device
  • Ability to perform adult cardiac monitoring
  • Knowledge of neonatal monitors including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring
  • Ability to perform heel sticks and venipuncture on newborns
  • Knowledge of newborn medication administration, including IV maintenance and administration
  • Knowledge of Bili-blankets, Bili-lights, and radiant warmers
  • Support maternal-newborn and postpartum teaching, including postpartum bladder training
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in nursing or a related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of labor and delivery experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of postpartum experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of medical/surgical nursing experience
