Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Department Nurse located in Issaquah, Washington. This position involves providing specialized care in a hospital setting, supporting high-risk deliveries, OB-GYN procedures, and postpartum care. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes during labor, preterm labor, and delivery processes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate; at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery; valid compact license in the state of Washington; does not accept 1st time travelers; epic experience required
  • Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification is preferred
  • Float: Float rotation may be required, particularly to Post-Partum and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) depending on skill set
  • Additional Information: The facility handles approximately 200-300 deliveries per month, includes 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms, and involves procedures such as blood/blood products administration, cardioversion, epidural pumps, and high-risk deliveries. The team attends all deliveries, including high-risk cases, GYN surgeries, and manages various special equipment and procedures related to obstetric care.
  • Travel Requirements: Candidates must have at least 1 year of professional experience; must include response to prior work at a Providence facility if applicable; references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) are required; must be willing to work 3 of 5 holidays; willing to float between nearby facilities when needed; compliance with local radius and license requirements.
