Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position located in a vibrant healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care during labor, preterm labor, postpartum, and gynecological procedures. Candidates will participate in delivering high-quality obstetric services in a supportive environment that emphasizes camaraderie and professional development.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license in hand at submission, at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D) including labor and preterm labor, and experience with Epic electronic charting system. Certifications required include BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate; ACLS preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience attending high-risk deliveries and GYN surgeries; proficiency with blood/blood products administration, epidural and PCA pumps, Wound Vac, and specialized medication administration.
• Float: Postpartum and possibly Labor & Delivery at a nearby facility.
• Patient Population: Adolescents, infants, and adults.
• Responsibilities: Attending all deliveries, high-risk deliveries, GYN surgeries, and care transition in nursery settings; supporting high-risk and low-risk obstetric patients; managing special procedures and equipment such as blood transfusions, cardioversion, and epidural pumps.
• Experience Required: At least 2 years in labor and delivery settings, with demonstrated proficiency in high-risk obstetric care and use of Epic charting system.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be flexible to work 12-hour night shifts and commit to working at least three of the five specified holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Eve, New Years/Eve). All scheduling and holiday requests must be submitted upfront during application. The role involves floating between designated units based on skill and operational needs.
