Description
Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit Trauma at a major medical center located in Madison, Wisconsin. The role involves providing advanced care to critically ill adult patients in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art Level One Trauma Center. The RN will participate in cutting-edge therapies, including ECMO and continuous dialysis, and be part of a team recognized with the American Association of Critical Care Nurses Gold Level Beacon Award.
Job Details:
- Shift: Day/Evening, 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend rotation and some holidays.
- Location: 600 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792.
- Schedule: Days; 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or compliant compact RN license; ACLS (American Heart Association) and BLS certifications; minimum of two years of ICU experience within the last three years; Epic charting system experience; Telemetry test passing required prior to start.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Trauma Level I and Level II units, arterial line management, ventilator management, and other advanced ICU skills listed.
- Responsibilities: Care for critically ill surgical, medical, and trauma patients within a 24-bed ICU, utilizing advanced life support therapies, managing complex ventilated patients, and participating in multidisciplinary team activities.
- Additional Information: The assignment requires passing strict telemetry testing with specific criteria, including identification of lethal rhythms and dysrhythmias. Travelers are required to float as needed.
