Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU Neuro) position is located in a healthcare facility in Falls Church, Virginia. This role involves providing specialized neurological intensive care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of managing complex neurological cases and adapting to unit needs.

Job Details:

• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale); CCRN, SCRN, or CNRN certifications preferred
• Experience: 2 years of relevant clinical experience
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per day, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications listed above, Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field, Virginia licensure or eligibility, and at least 2 years of clinical experience in a neurological or intensive care setting
• Additional Information: The role may require floating to the neuro intensive care unit, with typical patient ratios of 1:2, which can flex based on acuity. Staff will be expected to participate in every other weekend and holiday rotations. Epic electronic medical record (EMR) access is needed, with staff required to wear navy blue pants and tops or solid white attire, with jackets in navy blue or solid white. Orientation includes two initial shifts, with additional shifts if necessary. Staff will be first to float when needed, with no on-call requirements.
