Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Lima, Ohio. This role involves caring for post-operative cardiac patients, including those with open heart surgery, utilizing advanced cardiac and pulmonary knowledge. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with age-specific criteria, while adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Ohio or Ohio Compact Registered Nurse license; active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; 2 or more years of clinical experience in a similar setting; post-operative open heart care experience; critical care experience; chest tube and drain management; pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access; proficiency in cardiac monitoring including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips; advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities; experience with assisting during chest tube removal, managing temporary pacers, and troubleshooting non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience floating to all units within skill level.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to float to all units within skill level. Limas local traveler policy includes an 8% travel rate reduction.
