Job Summary:
This is a Step Down Unit registered nurse (RN) position located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role involves working in an acute care environment, primarily staffing a unit with the greatest need, whether it be Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Medical-Surgical Telemetry (Med-Surg/Tele). The position requires flexibility to float within the skill set or to nearby sites within a 40-mile radius. Experience in a similar setting and proficiency with electronic documentation systems are preferred.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg), or Telemetry Acute Care, STEP DOWN RN specialty exam and skills completed, EPIC electronic health record experience, healthcare provider license valid in Wisconsin, ability to float within skill set or to sites within 40 miles.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience, familiarity with electronic documentation systems.
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The travel assignment requires compliance with unit-specific protocols such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and proficiency in emergency and trauma skills. The nurse will be placed based on unit needs and may work across different acute care units as required.
