Description

Job Summary:
Postpartum Floor Nurse in New York, New York. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to postpartum patients within the organizations postpartum unit. The role requires delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to new mothers and their infants, ensuring safety and comfort in accordance with clinical protocols.

Job Details:

Schedule: Days shift, 7.5 hours per shift, minimum of 37.5 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Licensure as a Registered Nurse, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher, current New York State RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in postpartum or maternity care
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with postpartum or maternal-newborn nursing, certification in Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM), additional neonatal or obstetric certifications
Additional Information: The role involves direct patient care on the postpartum unit, with responsibilities including patient assessments, education, and collaborative care planning. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
