Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Issaquah, Washington. This position involves providing specialized care in the Labor and Delivery department of a healthcare facility. The role requires managing high-risk deliveries, participating in special procedures, and supporting patients through various perinatal processes to ensure optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shift times, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 09/14/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate; active compact license in State of Washington; at least 2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery; experience with high-risk deliveries and specific procedures such as blood/blood products administration, cardioversion, epidural and PCA pumps, wound vac, and infusion of medications like heparin, insulin, magnesium sulfate.
  • Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification is preferred.
  • Additional Information: Candidate must have experience attending all deliveries, high-risk deliveries, GYN surgeries, and working in a teaching hospital environment. Candidates may need to float between related units based on skill set, particularly Post-Partum and NICU. The role requires flexibility to work 3 of the 5 major holidays and adherence to RTO requests made during submission.
  • Travel and Licensing: Must hold a valid compact license, with a local radius of 50 miles. Previous work at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, on a travel contract, or as registry/per-diem is preferred. Two references covering the last three years are required. Candidates must be able to commit to working in a facility with a patient census averaging 200-300 births per month.
