Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician specializing in Operating Room (OR) procedures for a facility located in San Francisco, California. This role involves supporting complex surgical operations within a busy hospital environment, ensuring sterile techniques and assisting surgical teams to deliver high-quality patient care. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting with diverse surgical cases.

Job Details:

Location: 45 Castro Street, San Francisco, CA 94114, United States
Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
Start Date: 09/08/2026
Required Qualifications: Certifications required: NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting), BLS (American Heart Association); no minimum years of experience required, valid California State License, ability to work full-time including weekdays.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a Surgical Technician in an Operating Room setting, familiarity with a variety of surgical procedures, and experience supporting trauma, neuro, and reconstructive surgeries is advantageous.
Additional Information: The role requires adherence to aseptic techniques, operating room safety protocols, and familiarity with surgical instrumentation including drills, electrosurgical units, and endoscopes. Candidates must complete onboarding modules, including labs within 3-5 days of contract signing, and provide accurate work history for seven years. Compliance documents are due 10 days prior to the start date.
Float: Float rotation may be required to support different operating rooms as needed.
