Job Summary:
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse position is located in a busy, state-of-the-art unit adjacent to the operating room in a healthcare organization in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves providing postoperative care to surgical patients, with a focus on ensuring patient safety and comfort during recovery. The position offers flexible scheduling options, including day shifts, with opportunities to work weekends and on-call shifts.

Job Details:

• Location: 900 8th Avenue, Fort Worth, TX, 76104
• Shift Schedule: Varied shift times ranging from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. with a 12-hour shift schedule and a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: No certifications are required; however, candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in Post Anesthesia Care Units, with a preferred experience in neuro, oncology, orthopedics, or vascular procedures. Candidate must be adaptable to varied shift times and flexible with scheduling.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with use of EMR systems, particularly Meditech, and familiarity with ASPAN guidelines are beneficial.
• Unit Description: The unit accommodates 26 beds, staffed by a mix of charge nurses, float nurses, and dedicated PACU staff. The team performs a variety of surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort during recovery. The unit uses state-of-the-art equipment, and staff are recognized for their expertise and collaborative spirit.
