Description
Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical (MS) unit nurse position is located in Fargo, North Dakota. This role involves providing care for medical-surgical patients on a 47-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 during the day shift and 6:1 during the night shift. Candidates must have recent hospital-based experience, including familiarity with electronic medical records systems. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and adherence to clinical standards for patient safety and quality care.
Job Details:
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, every other weekend and holiday.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active AHA BLS certification; minimum of 2 years recent Medical Surgical (MS) experience working in a hospital with at least 200 beds; experience with surgical oncology preferred; active ND or Compact RN license; Epic electronic medical records experience; experience with EMR-Epic, AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Phillips monitors, Telemetry.
- Preferred Qualifications: Surgical oncology experience.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience in a large hospital setting, with level 2 or higher trauma center experience preferred. Applicants should have active RN licensure and BLS certification. All clinicians are required to badge in and out at the facility and adhere to the specified uniform of navy blue scrubs. The position entails providing care to MS patients and surgical oncology patients, with collaboration across healthcare teams. Float to other units/departments may be required.
