Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse Eureka, CA. This position involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients, including infants with gestational ages of 29 to 34 weeks and above. The role requires clinical expertise in managing high-risk deliveries and neonatal ventilator support, with a focus on maintaining optimal outcomes for vulnerable newborns. The schedule is night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details

• Shift Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California license, 0 years of experience minimum, Certifications in BLS, NRP, and STABLE, experience with Neonates > 34 weeks and 29-34 weeks, proficiency in NICU IV lines (UAC/UVC), ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), and attendance at high-risk deliveries.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, Charge Nurse experience, additional years of neonatal care experience.
• Additional Information: The role involves managing CPAP, UAC/UVC lines, and high-flow CPAP equipment. Candidates may be expected to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Refusal to float may impact employment. The position requires references covering one year, and candidates must be willing to work two out of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
