Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU CVICU) registered nurse position is located in Massachusetts. The role involves providing specialized care primarily in the intensive care setting, with the flexibility to float to medical/surgical and telemetry units as operational needs arise. The nurse will deliver patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring adherence to hospital standards and maintaining high-quality customer service.

Job Details:

  • Location: Hyannis, MA
  • Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current Massachusetts licensed Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Critical Care Certified (CCRN) preferred. Demonstrated experience in critical care nursing, proficient in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator care, and intracranial pressure monitoring.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; De-escalation Certification; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification.
  • Responsibilities: Providing direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, maintaining accurate and current patient records, and participating in clinical quality activities. Assumes charge nurse role when necessary, demonstrates proficiency in computerized nursing informatics, and acts as a resource for staff education. Ensures safety policies are followed and maintains professional development activities.
  • Additional Information: The ideal candidate will be skilled in hemodynamic and ventilator management and capable of monitoring intracranial pressure, with a focus on delivering high-quality critical care within a fast-paced environment.
