Job Summary:
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Lynchburg, Virginia. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to a diverse patient population, including medical-surgical, tele, cardiac, neuro, and stroke patients. The assignment is scheduled for nights, with orientation dates beginning on 09/08/2026, and requires prior travel experience for all Centra positions.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, ending on Saturday, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid active VA or Compact nursing license, 2 years of recent work experience in similar units, thorough work history with explanations for gaps over 90 days, skills checklist, and copy of Nursys/license. All requested time off must be included at the time of submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge experience preferred, Cerner EMR experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Orientation occurs every other week on Mondays, with no orientation scheduled on 09/07 due to Labor Day. Unit aims for 2/3 weekends per month but may vary based on needs. Locals within 60 miles are not accepted. The client reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours before each assignment due to census. This role involves working with students and new hires as part of a teaching hospital environment.
